2009 Maryland-Delaware Encampment Underway

REISTERSTOWN, MD—The 2009 Maryland-Delaware Encampment is off to a great start. The annual boot-camp like training event at Camp Fretterd teaches new Civil Air Patrol cadets a variety of skills including followership, leadership, self-discipline and teamwork.

During the event, special guest Michael B. Donley, Secretary of the Air Force, stopped by for a visit and experienced the effects of drugs by using the Fatal Vision Goggles.

Wicomico represents CAP at national rocket competition

The Plains, VA—For the third consecutive year the Civil Air Patrol’s Wicomico Composite Squadron-Maryland Wing Cadet Rocketry Team was the only CAP finalist among the 100 teams to qualify for the Team America Rocketry Challenge competition.
